    Full Desscription

A Staff Development Programme was conducted on the topic, “Behavioural Issues at Workplace”, covering around 40 employees from various departments including Admissions, Corporate Resource Centre , Hostel, Accounts , Library, Academic Programme office etc., from Post graduate as well as undergraduate courses. Programme was spread over two days, 15th May and 16th May, 2013, covering around 20 participants each day and the Resource persons were Prof.(Dr.) Puneet Mohan and Prof.ShikhaArora.

Programme on each day was divided into two sessions and was inaugurated by Director (Management), Dr. B S Hothi on the first day and by Director General, Dr. A K Puri on the second day. First session was focused on helping the participants develop a better understanding of them and others aimed at building good interpersonal relationships and foster the spirit of team work at workplace. This was done by administering a tool, Johari Window in the form of a questionnaire and giving feedback to the participants for self-improvement.

Second session was focused on addressing behavioural issues faced at workplace. Attitude and Behaviour are influenced by various factors like values, beliefs and culture etc. An understanding of personality and how do people behave was provided in a simplified manner using Transactional Analysis. The same was then translated to how one can develop positive attitude and deal with behavioural issues at workplace.

All the participants were awarded with Certificates of participation by Director (Management), Dr. B S Hothi and Area Chairperson-HR, Dr. P U B Rao.
