“Smart Antenna for Wireless Communication” -Dr. Sanjay Mathur
Efficient use of radio spectrum for ever growing demand of increased channel capacity. Smart antenna: Antenna array with signal processing in spatiotemporal domain. It is one of the techniques to achieve the above aims. Other techniques may include coding/compression, higher order modulations, adaptive interference management, dynamic spectrum allocation etc.
    Session 3 &4, 4th Jan, 2016
“QoS issues and Network Analysis using NS -2” -Dr. Karan Singh
Introduction to Networking – topologies, layers, media, addressing etc. Network standards, for instance, IEEE 802.1 (Overview & architecture of LANs), IEEE 802.2 (Logical Link Control), IEEE 802.3 (Ethernet), IEEE 802.4 (Token Bus) and so forth up to IEEE 802.15 (PANs like Bluetooth), IEEE 802.16 (Broadband Wireless), IEEE 802.17 (Resilient Packet Ring).
    Session 1 &2, 5th Jan, 2016
“Transmission lines – hysteresis, perturbation theorem, Boltzmann equations and Yang Mills theory”- Dr. Harish Parthasarthy, NSIT
Transmission lines with inhomogenous distribution parameters – Fourier Mode Analysis. Transmission lines with random input statehood analysis. Transmission lines with hysteresis and non-linear capacitance perturbation theorem analysis.
    Session 3&4, 5th Jan, 2016
“Optimum (Wiener) Filters” -Dr. Tarun Kumar Rawat, NSIT
Optimization of filters and the specifically optimized filter – the Wiener Filter.Wiener-Hopf equations for the mathematical modeling of optimum filters.Sampling, Prediction (single step prediction and multi-step prediction). Signal Modelling – Autoregression, Moving Average and ARMA (Auto Regression and Moving Average).
    Session 1 &2, 6th Jan, 2016
    “VANETs -Vehicular Area NETworks”-Dr. D. K. Lobiyal, SC&SS, JNU
VANET (Vehicular Area NETwork) and MANET (Mobile Area NETwork) description and comparisons. Issues of VANETs – reliable communication, routing and dissemination, security, IP configuration and mobility management, application distribution. IEEE 802.11 p standard defined for VANET; mobility model; routing protocol, position based routing, geocasting, quality of service (QoS).
    Session 3 &4, 6th Jan, 2016
“Digital Image Processing using MATLAB”  -Dr. Umesh Ghanekar
Digital image representation, compression and filtering techniques. The tools used are basically variants of Cosine Transform – KL Transform, HAR transform etc. Morphological processing – used for boundary extraction; erosion and dilation.Visible and invisible digital watermarking using Steganography of three types – robust (e.g. in logos of TV channels), semi-fragile (e.g. in medical data) and fragile (e.g. in copyrighting)
    Session 1 &2, 7th Jan, 2016
