3 days Faculty Development Program

A Faculty Development Program was conducted from 08th Feb 2017 to 10th Feb 2017 forall the faculty members. The three days program was divided into four sessions each. On 08th Feb 2017 the session started at 09.30 am with the welcome note. Our Director Ma’am Dr. VidyaSekhriwelcomed the distinguished Guest and speaker of the session Dr. Namita Rajput. The topics covered by her were: Introduction to Research and  Types of Research, Quantitative research methods and their nuances Research Design, Through her vast experience she sailed us through the session giving appropriate practical examples and explanations wherever required. The second session was started around 2.00 pm.The topics were: Introduction to SPSS, Introduction to e-views, Descriptive Statistics, Correlation and Regression, Plotting of charts and Practice Sessions. Her session was very well appreciated and conceived by the faculty members.
The before tea session on the second day started with an honored speaker Dr. Anuradha Jain, taking up topics like: Data collection, sample design and techniques Construction of Questionnaire, scaling techniques. Dr. Namita Rajput joined after tea and after lunch sessions. She took the topics like: Formulation and Testing of Hypothesis and lot of practice Sessions on Data Analysis using SPSS. It was a fruit full session and faculty members participated with lot of enthusiasm and zeal.

The third day session was conducted by a very eminent and distinguished academician Dr. C P Gupta. He began by wishing this session to be very fruitful and imbibing the culture of research in our organisation. The topics covered were: Statistical Inference: Parametric and Non-Parametric Tests (Chi-Square Test), Analysis of Variances and Co-Variance (T Test and ANOVA: one way and  two way), Factor Analysis, Interpretation of Results and  Practice Session. Then he started with practical sessions on SPSS.The faculty members were enjoying all the exercises and hands on experience with SPSS.
The Valedictory session as with concluding remarks by Dr. VidyaSekhri – Director UG. The importance of continuous learning and research were re-emphasized. The culture of hard work and focused work were re-iterated. Certificate of participation were distributed and vote of thanks was delivered. It was a complete learning and informative experience.
